Meet the Pack

Our mischievous Snowdogs have finally been let off their leads and are scampering around Cardiff and the Vale – can you help us find them?
There are 43 crafty canines currently on the loose, with the latest sightings around the region’s most iconic hotspots.
Standing at 1.5m tall, these mighty mutts tower over most pet pooches, but don’t worry, they don’t bite! In fact they’re on a mission: to help Tŷ Hafan support children with life-limiting conditions and their families across Wales.

Snowdogs: Tails in Wales is set to bring businesses, artists and the community together in a celebration of Cardiff’s culture, creativity and commercial success
But it’s also an opportunity to raise money for Tŷ Hafan, the only children’s hospice in south Wales.
The money raised from Snowdogs: Tails in Wales will help the charity to continue providing care and support to children and young people with life-limiting conditions and their families throughout Wales. Find out more about the charity’s work by clicking on the button below.

A big thank you to all the artists that applied to design a Snowdog for the 2017 trail, we had a truly amazing selection of designs to choose from. With over 200 designs to choose from our sponsors selected the final 43 that you see on our streets. A massive thank you to all of the artists for their time and dedication to the trail.

We have been overwhelmed by the support we have received from our fantastic sponsors.  Without them this would not have been possible, from sponsoring their favourite canine, providing us with transport assistance or venue hire the support has been endless.

When all the dogs are in place, it’ll be time for the public to get out and about, using our special trail map to find the dogs and rediscovering what makes Cardiff such a fantastic city. Don’t forget if it is too much to walk around and find all 100 dogs, there will be a farewell event  at the Capitol Shopping Centre, Cardiff on 8, 9, 10 December 2017 where you can see them all in one place!

Snowdogs Tails in Wales

As we all know, a dog is for life (not just for Christmas), so at the end of the trail you can bid to give your favourite furry friend a forever home at our special Snowdogs: Tails in Wales auction. All large Snowdogs will be auctioned on Tuesday 12 December 2017 at the Marriott Hotel, Cardiff. The proceeds from the sale will go to Tŷ Hafan – the hospice for children in Wales – to help make a short life a full life.
